The Manufacturing and Processing Business

Hello, my name is Nigel and this is my first blog. I am not much of a computer type of person but last year, my wife bought me a laptop. Since then, I have been trying to get to grips with this thing they call the internet. I decided to start a blog but I had no idea what to write about. They say, "write about what you know," so I have decided to write about processing and manufacturing. My son owns a processing and manufacturing plant so I have learnt quite a lot from him about what it involves.

4 Questions to Consider When Designing a Custom Plaque for a Treasured Employee

If you own a company and you want to congratulate an employee who has been with you for a long time, you may want to give that individual a custom plaque. There are a variety of designs you may want to select. Here are some options you need to consider along the way:

1. Do You Want a Plaque That Hangs on the Wall?

When you think of plaques, you may immediately think of wall plaques, but that isn't the only option. You can also opt for a plaque that sits on a shelf or even a paperweight plaque. Ultimately, think of what your employee would like the best.

2. What Materials Do You Want?

Then, you need to decide which materials you want in your custom plaque. You can opt for a wood base with a piece of etched glass over it, you could opt for a plaque that is all glass, or you could choose a metal design.

You may want to choose a material that corresponds with the anniversary date of the employee. Typically, these materials are associated with wedding anniversaries, but they can also work for work anniversaries.

For example, if someone has been with the company five years, you may want to give them a custom wood plaque. Then, choose a tin plaque with possible small diamond accents for a tenth anniversary or even a platinum plaque for 20 years with the company.

3. What Information Do You Want on the Plaque?

With custom plaques, you can choose which information you want on it. You may want the employee's name, your company name and logo, and the number of years of service. In some cases, you may want an etching of the employee's likeness or other decorative elements.

4. Do You Want to Give the Plaque to the Employee or Display It at the Office?

Finally, you need to decide where you want to display the plaque. You may want to give the employee a plaque to take home or keep in their private office. However, in other cases, you may want to display the plaque on a special wall in your office.

The former can be a nice gift for employees, but the latter can be a nice way to honour employees in the office. Both options have their pros and cons, and if desired, you may even want to order two plaques and do both.
